Tetrahydrofuran (THF) 99.5% AR (Analytical Reagent) is primarily used as a versatile solvent for dissolving a wide range of substances, including resins, plastics like PVC, and various polar and nonpolar chemical compounds. Its excellent solvency makes it ideal for applications in polymer chemistry, as an ingredient in PVC adhesives, a component of mobile phases in reversed-phase liquid chromatography, and for degreasing metal parts. It’s also a starting material for synthesizing other chemicals and a solvent in organometallic chemistry.

a. Saran tentang penanganan yang aman

Kenakan pakaian pelindung. Jangan menghirup zat/campuran. Hindari terbentuknya uap/aerosol.

b. Saran tentang perlindungan terhadap kebakaran dan ledakan

Jauhkan dari nyala terbuka, permukaan panas, dan sumber penyulut.Lakukan dengan hatihati tindakan melawan lucutan statis.

c. Tindakan kebersihan

Segera ganti pakaian yang terkontaminasi. Gunakan krim pelindung kulit. Cuci tangan dan muka setelah bekerja dengan bahan tersebut. Untuk tindakan pencegahan lihat bagian 2.2 dalam SDS.

Simpan wadah tertutup rapat di tempat yang kering dan berventilasi baik. Jauhkan dari panas dan sumber api. Tes untuk pembentukan peroksida berkala dan sebelum distilasi.
