Applications :

1. Catalysis:
  • Oxidation: Ferric nitrate acts as a catalyst in the oxidation of alcohols to carbonyl compounds, particularly in the presence of heteropoly acids.
  • Synthesis of Sodium Amide: It catalyzes the reaction between sodium and ammonia to form sodium amide.
