  • Brine Purification:

    It’s an ingredient in the formulation of heat treatment salts used for hardening steel.

  • Lubricating Oil Additives:

    It can be incorporated into some lubricating oils. 

  • Fireworks:

    Barium chloride dihydrate produces the bright green color in fireworks and flares.

    It can be used in water treatment processes, particularly in laboratories and for analytical testing.

Barium chloride is an inorganic compound with the formula BaCl2. It is one of the most common water-soluble salts of barium. Like most other water-soluble barium salts, it is a white powder, highly toxic, and imparts a yellow-green coloration to a flame. It is also hygroscopic, converting to the dihydrate BaCl2·2H2O, which are colourless crystals with a bitter salty taste. It has limited use in the laboratory and industry.Barium chloride dihydrate has several applications across various industries. Kenakan pakaian pelindung. Jangan menghirup zat/campuran.

Ganti pakaian yang terkontaminasi. Penggunaan krim pelindung kulit dianjurkan. Cuci tangan setelah bekerja dengan bahan tersebut.

Tertutup sangat rapat. Kering. Simpan di tempat yang berventilasi baik. Simpan dalam tempat terkunci atau di tempat yang hanya bisa dimasuki oleh orang-orang yang mempunyai kualifikasi atau berwenang.

b. Kelas penyimpanan

Kelas penyimpanan Jerman (TRGS 510): 6.1C: Kat.3 toksik akut, mudah terbakar / senyawa toksik atau senyawa yang menyebabkan efek-efek kronis.
