Uses of Anhydrous Lithium Chloride 99% AR:

  • Biochemical Applications: Used for the separation and precipitation of RNA from cellular extracts.
  • Metallurgy and Fluxes: Used as a brazing flux for aluminum to improve metal surface treatment.
  • Pyrotechnics: Used in pyrotechnic applications to produce a dark red flame.

Lithium Chloride Anhydrous 99% AR is a high-purity (≥99%), white, crystalline, and highly hygroscopic inorganic salt (𝐿𝑖𝐶𝑙) utilized primarily as an Analytical Reagent (AR) or ACS grade laboratory chemical. It is used for drying air streams, in organic synthesis (e.g., Stille reaction), in biochemistry for RNA precipitation, and in lithium metal production.
